A workshop with Macedonian director and choreographer Filip Petkovski was held at Nikola Vaptsarov Drama Theatre - Blagoevgrad
“It was extremely difficult to select a smaller group of actors from a total of 108 applicants to present their acting, dance and musical skills. To my great joy, I worked with exceptional artists of striking talent and a high artistic level. I now face the challenging task of selecting only a few of them, although I would gladly work with everyone who took part in the workshop with full dedication and one hundred percent commitment,” says director Filip Petkovski.
Over the course of three intensive days, the theatre stage became a space for exploration, movement, voice and music, where, under the guidance of director and choreographer Filip Petkovski (North Macedonia) and composer Petar Dundakov, young actors and final-year students explored the boundaries between body, sound and dramaturgy, working on acting, movement and vocal practices through challenging exercises, improvisations and ensemble tasks.
After the workshop, some of the participants will be invited to join the upcoming production of Blood Wedding by Federico García Lorca, which will be created between June and September 2026.
