The production “Ladies Invite”, based on the novel by Georgi Mishev and directed by Asen Blatechki, was awarded the Set Design Award at the third edition of the Todor Kolev Comedy Theatre Festival 2026 in Shumen.
The prestigious distinction was awarded to set designer Nikolay Nikolov, who created the visual world of the first stage adaptation of one of the most beloved Bulgarian stories.
The award is a recognition both of the striking set design work in the production and of the entire creative team, which breathes new stage life into the familiar story.
Since its premiere, the production has become one of the highlights of the theatre season and continues to enjoy strong audience interest. This summer, “Ladies Invite” is part of a large-scale national tour, which has been met with great enthusiasm and brings the production to audiences in different cities across the country.
