On 15 May 2026, at 11:00 a.m., an opening press conference will be held in the Central Foyer of Nikola Vaptsarov Drama Theatre, 2nd floor, under Project BG16FFPR003-1.001-0010 “Modernisation of Nikola Vaptsarov Drama Theatre for the Sustainable and Integrated Development of Culture, Cultural Tourism and Creative Industries in Blagoevgrad”, funded under the Regional Development Programme 2021–2027, procedure BG16FFPR003-1.001 “Support for Integrated Urban Development in the 10 Urban Municipalities – Main Growth Centres”.
The main objective of the project is to improve the conditions for the sustainable and integrated development of culture, cultural tourism, and the creative industries as a driver of economic growth in the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and for enhancing the quality of life of its residents.
The final deadline for the implementation of the project is 4 August 2028.
Total project budget: EUR 9,203,253.83, of which:
- European co-financing – EUR 6,442,277.68
- National co-financing – EUR 2,760,976.15
At the press conference, the project, its objectives, planned activities, and expected implementation results will be presented.
