Rehearsals for the play "The Iron Candlestick," based on the novel by Dimitar Talev and directed by Kalin Angelov have began today.
"The Iron Candlestick" is the first book of Talev's tetralogy, which also includes "Ilinden," "The Bells of Prespa," and "I Hear Your Voices." The novel is considered one of the pinnacles of Bulgarian literature.
The scenoraphy and costumes are by Ilina Grozeva, and the composer is Plamen Mirchev.
The cast includes the actors: Albena Chobanova, Ivan Nikolov, Kaloyan Karaginev, Katya Ivanova, Lora Hristova, Andrash Konchaliev, Janet Keranova.
