Today began the rehearsals of a new exciting play, "The Birthday of the Infanta" by Oscar Wilde, directed by Todor Valov.
"The Birthday of the Infanta" is one of the most popular fairy tales by the Irish writer. During the first rehearsal, the director shared with the actors that this is a tale about the cruelty in humans, born from external circumstances in the world of adults. The tale seeks an answer to the question of how the lack of love destroys the ability to empathize. Although Wilde's texts are sad, they captivate with elegant expression, original and unconventional ideas, frankness, and a sense of humor. Todor Valov's new stage realization combines elements of both dramatic and puppet theater.
The cast includes the actors: Aladin Aliibrahim, Alexander Mitev, Dimitar Stoyanov, Katya Ivanova, Lora Hristova, Nedilyana Pavlik, Pepa Maneva, Theodor Kukov.
The set design and costumes are by Natalia Gocheva, and the music is by Plamen Mirchev.
We eagerly await the premiere in May and wish the entire team success!
